The annual Blue Crab Festival is one of the largest festivals in the southeast. With more than 50,000 attendees each year, the festival has proven its popularity. This year the event falls on May 20th and 21st and is located on the waterfront of Little River. With over 300 vendors, you’ll be sure to find something to remember the Blue Crab Festival by!
The festival will have plenty of entertainment to keep up with the crowds throughout both days. On Saturday you can expect a cool gymnastics show, followed by Blackwater Rhythm and Blues Band, and closed out by Midnight Allie. Sunday features Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot starting at 11:30 am and followed by Jim Quick & Coastline to finish out the day.
The Blue Crab Festival isn’t just about the crabs! Be sure to check out the car show and take a look at all the beautiful entries. You’ll want to enter the 50/50 raffle, try out one of the food vendors, and more! The car show is located on Highway 17 in Little River.
The Salt Air Jam is a great way to start your weekend with friends and family. Head on over to listen to some classic beach music and help benefit those suffering from cystic fibrosis. The event is located at the NMD Park & Sports Complex.
The festival is host to hundreds of different vendors. Fine arts, crafts, clothing, and specialty food is just a handful of what you can find.
Not only is the festival here to bring together the community and provide entertainment for thousands, it aims to give back. The festival has helped grow the Little River area and it hopes to continue to do so in the future. Be sure to check out one of the Grand Strand’s most premier events!
