The holiday season has arrived, and it’s time to celebrate! Ripley’s Aquarium is hosting their annual event, The Festival of Trees. You can see these amazing trees with admission to the aquarium.
As you walk around the aquarium, you will notice a total of 75 trees that are decorated for the season. Plus, a mailbox for letters to Santa. For every letter that is dropped into the mailbox, Ripley’s Aquarium will donate an item to Toys for Tots. It’s a perfect combination for the entire family to enjoy together.
There are 50 trees made up to represent each one of the United States. You will find a patriotic tree for Pennsylvania, a glistening white tree for Alaska, a showgirl feather headdress for Nevada and Longhorns on the top of a tree representing Oklahoma. It’s always fun to walk around and find which state you are from and which decorations were selected.
In addition to the 50 states, there are 20 new trees this season that you have to see with your own eyes! It’s truly magical. The kids can also enjoy a tree scavenger hunt, trying to find each state.
Ripley’s Festival of Trees has the largest tree display in the South. The Myrtle Beach attraction is open 365 days a year including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve starting at 9 a.m. For more information on the aquarium or festival call 1-800-734-8888.
