Now I enjoying visiting Florida as much as the next person, but all the storms they have been having don’t help their case. I just got back from Miami and building down in Florida is through the roof. Their prices are souring again and that’s a positive for them. However if you are form the Northern states looking for a second place at the beach then Myrtle beach is definitely your best bet. Myrtle Beach doesn’t have nearly the storms and hurricanes that Florida does. The insurance here is much lower, you are also closer to other family members and friends that still live up north, much closer. It’s a hop skip and a jump for you via car or plane. Florida is a much farther journey. Also Myrtle Beach is so sweet and southern. We definitely have the southern hospitality down and the weather here pretty much year round is amazing. You can also get more for your money here.
